The Aviation Industry CBT Committee is a membership-driven organization dedicated to helping the aviation training community get the most out of today's technology. We do that by bringing together aviation trainers, courseware developers, software vendors, simulator designers and airframe manufacturers to develop standards, technology recommendations and analysis of best practices. We share our standards and certification processes with the public.

Call for Presentations on Metadata, Indexing and Search

The AICC is hosting a Workshop on Content Description & Discovery for Learning. The presentation proposal deadline is April 16th, 2007. Selected presentations will be delivered at AICC Meetings June 4-8, 2007. Qualified presenters are encouraged to submit presentation proposals addressing areas including:

  • Tools and Best Practices for Metadata Entry & Collection
  • Automated Metadata Generation
  • Content Indexing for Search and Discovery
  • Federated Search
  • Organizing and Mapping Across Departmental/Organizational Boundaries (taxonomies and vocabularies)

Ideal presentations will have practical examples or use cases directly applicable to technology-based training in an aviation environment. The AICC would like to have a balance of presentation content that addresses current and emerging practices, vendor presentation and end-user/implementer experiences.

Submit a presentation title, 50-75 word presentation description, speaker title, and speaker contact information to: AICC Presentations Subcommittee

Submission deadline is April 16, 2007.
Speakers will be notified by April 27, 2007 as to the selection status.
