We do that by bringing together aviation trainers, courseware developers, software vendors, simulator designers and airframe manufacturers to develop standards, technology recommendations and analysis of best practices. Draft AICC Offline CMI Specification CMI-009 Now Available for Comment

The AICC has released Draft 2.4 of its Offline CMI Specification (CMI-009) for review and comment as per discussions in the Feb 2009 AICC Singapore meeting. CMI-009 defines a communication mechanism that allows server-based ("Online") LMS systems to sychronize with client-based ("Offline") LMS players so that nomadic learners can view training content while disconnected from the internet and still have LMS tracking. CMI-009 Draft 2.4 leverages the following existing (relased) AICC specifications:
